What is Emergency Dentistry?
Emergency dentistry is focused on providing immediate care for dental issues that require urgent attention. This includes managing pain, preventing further damage, and stabilising your oral health until a long-term solution can be applied.
We treat a wide range of emergencies including:
- Dr. Mahum Sarfraz
- Toothaches or dental pain
- Chipped, broken, or knocked-out teeth
- Dental abscess or swelling
- Injuries to the mouth or gums
- Lost fillings or crowns
- Trauma from accidents or sports injuries
Our goal is to quickly diagnose, relieve pain, and restore comfort — all with a calm, gentle approach.
When to Call Immediately
Some symptoms are your body’s way of saying "Act now":

- Severe, throbbing tooth pain that doesn’t ease with painkillers
- Swelling in the face or jaw
- Bleeding that won’t stop
- Knocked-out or loose teeth from trauma
- Signs of infection, such as a bad taste, fever, or pus
If any of these apply, call us straight away. We'll guide you through what to do and prepare for your arrival.
What to Expect During Your Emergency Visit
1. Immediate Triage
We ask the right questions upfront to assess the urgency and ensure you’re seen quickly, often on the same day.
2. Diagnostic Exam
Using digital X-rays and clinical exam, we identify the source of the issue and assess how best to stabilise it.

3. Pain Relief First
Your comfort comes first. We provide local anaesthesia or sedation if needed to get you out of pain fast.
4. Targeted Treatment
Depending on your situation, this might include:
- Tooth restoration or repair
- Temporary or permanent fillings or crowns
- Antibiotics for infection
- Tooth extraction if necessary (only as a last resort)
5. Clear Next Steps
We’ll explain follow-up treatments, costs, and any recovery tips so you leave informed and supported.
