Children’s Dentistry
Big care for little smiles
Parents love how we make dental visits simple and stress-free for kids, one happy check-up at a time.

A Place Where Kids Feel Safe, Seen & Smiled At
Children's dental visits don’t need to be scary. At Passion Dental, we’ve created an experience where little ones feel comfortable, curious, and even excited to come in. We use gentle techniques, clear explanations, and lots of patience—so children learn that caring for their teeth can be fun, empowering, and totally fear-free.
Whether it's their first visit or their tenth, we help kids feel proud of their smile and confident in their care.
Understanding Children’s Dentistry
Children’s dentistry focuses on preventive care, healthy development, and early intervention. It includes everything from routine check-ups to fillings, fissure sealants, and advice on oral habits. Our goal is to spot problems early, guide growing teeth into place, and make sure every child learns how to care for their smile long-term.
Why early dental visits matter
Tooth decay is one of the most common childhood issues in Australia, but it doesn’t have to be. Early visits teach healthy habits, allow us to detect concerns before they become painful or expensive, and help your child develop trust in the dental chair.

What ages do we see?
We welcome kids of all ages—from toddlers coming in for their first check-up to older children and teens managing orthodontic needs. We adjust our tone, language, and approach based on your child’s age and comfort level.
How we keep kids calm and cooperative
We use gentle voices, calm hands, and simple explanations to reduce fear and build trust. Many kids actually enjoy their visits once they understand what to expect. We also offer parental guidance on managing dental anxiety at home.

Our philosophy on baby teeth
Baby teeth matter more than people think. They guide adult teeth into place, support speech development, and allow proper chewing. Losing them too early (due to decay or trauma) can lead to alignment problems and more extensive treatments later.
Nutrition, habits & home care
We coach both parents and kids on brushing techniques, sugar intake, dummy habits, and thumb sucking. These small things make a big difference.
What to Expect
1. The First Visit

We recommend bringing your child in when their first tooth appears, or by age one. Early visits are short, relaxed, and mostly about getting comfortable. We do a gentle check-up and answer your questions.
2. Routine Check-ups
For older children, check-ups include a full exam, a professional clean, fluoride treatment, and bite assessment. We keep things upbeat, explain everything step-by-step, and let your child take breaks if needed.
3. Preventive Care
We use:
- Fissure sealants to protect back teeth from decay
- Fluoride treatments to strengthen enamel
- X-rays (when appropriate) to monitor development
4. Restorative Treatment
- Dr. Mahum Sarfraz
If cavities occur, we use minimally invasive fillings with tooth-coloured composite. We explain everything in age-appropriate language and make the process as comfortable as possible.
5. Orthodontic Guidance
We monitor jaw growth, spacing, and tooth alignment from an early age. If we spot early signs of crowding or bite issues, we offer guidance or refer for interceptive orthodontics.
